Beskrivning

Humberto Almeida Jr holds a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, a Master’s in Materials Science, and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering. He completed his initial Post-Doctoral research in Germany as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden (IPF), where he later served as a Research Associate. He pursued a second Post-Doctoral position at Aalto University in Finland. Subsequently, he was honoured with the Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship. He conducted research and teaching activities at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Queen's University Belfast, UK. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor on a tenure track at LUT University in Finland and holds positions as a Visiting Researcher at both the University of Manchester, UK, and Aalto University, Finland. His primary research focus is on the mechanics of fibre-reinforced polymer composites.
