Abstrakt

The development of digital technologies has increased demand for digital traceability solutions, especially in emerging nations where consumer demand for transparency is rising. Despite the benefits, many industries, including pharmaceuticals, have been slow to adopt digital traceability including pharmaceuticals. While literature acknowledges the significance of innovative leadership (IL), there is limited research that comprehensively explores its role in introducing traceability solutions through new ventures. This chapter aims to bridge this gap by analyzing the function of IL to redefine digital traceability in the context of pharmaceutical new ventures. This study achieves its objectives by conducting an in-depth investigation into the IL’s role through qualitative framework in implementing digital traceability solutions. The case study highlights the company’s founder’s innovative leadership by founding a traceability firm and using traceability solutions to address pharmaceutical supply chain concerns. Pharma Trax introduced an innovative digital traceability system, which fosters cooperation and employs unique barcodes for real-time tracking. They revolutionized pharmaceutical traceability by forming strategic relationships and following tight standards, creating an example of leadership and innovation and generating trust. IL is stressed as essential for digital traceability system development and use in the study. The theoretical understanding of the crucial function IL plays in digital traceability solutions by establishing new ventures is expanded overall by this research.
