Projektmål
The main aim of this project is to produce relevant and applicable information for fishway planning and the re-building of the River Kymijoki migratory fish stocks. The multidisciplinary research know-how of co-operation networks will be utilized, and the data produced by different disciplines will be combined to increase co-operation among different users or River Kymijoki. The behavior and spatial distribution of radio-tagged salmon below the power plants, effectiveness and constraints of Koivukoski´s fishway will be monitored, and the optimal location of the fishway entrance for planned Korkeakoski´s fishway evaluated.
