I am Tomi Korpi, a seasoned physiotherapist and a distinguished researcher in sports and exercise medicine, currently serving at Tampere University as Doctoral Researcher. With over 15 years of dedicated service as a physiotherapist at Helsinki University Hospital, my career has been marked by a profound commitment to integrating rehabilitation and health promotion into tertiary care. My academic journey, rooted in a master's degree in health sciences from the University of Eastern Finland, has been pivotal in shaping my expertise. My thesis on falls prevention underscores my dedication to advancing healthcare. This work, along with my other significant research, reflects my deep engagement with critical issues such as fear of falling, exercise, osteoporosis, low back pain, arthroplasty, and basketball. My research can be explored in detail at here [https://orcid.org/0009-0003-0217-8291]. Since March 2024, I have been involved in developing an electronic frailty index model for Finnish healthcare at Tampere University. This project employs advanced statistical modeling and artificial intelligence to assess health and biological aging, utilizing large datasets of structured and unstructured medical records. My contributions include data cleaning and labeling, detailed analysis, and assisting in the preparation of articles for leading scientific journals. In the realm of digital health innovation, I have been a forerunner, championing the integration of digital technology in physiotherapy. My leadership in projects like Terveyskylä.fi has been instrumental in revolutionizing patient-centered digital healthcare, garnering national and international recognition. My professional network, extending across international borders, mirrors my commitment to global health improvement. My active participation in various boards and foundations, including the Finnish Association of Physiotherapists, has been a testament to my dedication to collaborative growth and knowledge exchange. As an educator, I have imparted my knowledge and insights to future health professionals, teaching courses on physiotherapy, sports medicine, digital health, and research methods. My ability to communicate complex concepts effectively is evident in my presentations at national and international conferences and in my well-regarded thesis. I am open to collaborations that align with my values, vision, and goals, aiming to leverage my skills in patient care, health promotion, digital health, and leadership. My commitment to continuous learning and innovation drives my pursuit of excellence in these fields.
