• obtained his PhD at the Max-Planck-Institute for Immunobiology in Germany. • since 2000 in biomarker research and development in various roles: • worked for Novartis in Basel, CH, from 2000 until 2007, • then as consultant and bioinformatician in his own company in Finland, • Manager of the Bioinformatics Team at the largest Australasian service provider for genomics data • He is inventor and co-inventor of several biomarker-related gene patents, • is actively involved in international research projects and consortia for standardization and control of reproducibility in genomics • Project Coordinator Biomarkers and Molecular Diagnostics at FIMM, and National Coordinator in Finland for EATRIS from 2014 until 2018 • Research Coordinator at FIMM, Chair of the EATRIS ERIC Quality Initiative
