Simo Mikkonen is Professor of Sociocultural Remembering at University of Eastern Finland. His primary research interests include cultural, international as well as transnational relations of the Soviet Union especially with the West, Finland included. With strong emphasis on Soviet era archival materials, he also has keen interest for oral history. His current research project examines transnational networks over the Iron Curtain especially among the cultural elite and artists.Nyckelord
