Beskrivning av infrastrukturen
The infrastructure consists of a variety of facilities, analysis and testing equipment, modelling and simulation tools and manufacturing capabilities to support the journey from idea to product. In addition to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies that are mainly used for top-level research, the infrastructure also includes more conventional tools for educational use. Aalto i3 offers facilities for manufacturing or modifying research instruments, which is a fundamental requirement in order to break boundaries and create something truly new. The infrastructure is also especially well-equipped for work related to water and energy issues. Combining the strengths of a traditional university laboratory environment and the entrepreneurship ecosystem of Aalto University, Aalto i3 offers a unique arrangement for creating new research results and taking them into society.
