The ICAREWOUNDS project aims to develop an integrated care (IC) model for chronic wound (CW) management that facilitates sustainability and efficiency. The model is based on a CW management platform that integrates new and existing eHealth and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence technologies. Together with seven partners, the project consortium examines how to design, develop and validate Health Technology while also considering the ethics, security, privacy and regulations regarding medical devices. By the end, the project will generate guidelines for the deployment of other similar solutions within Europe and assess the socioeconomic impact to evaluate the sustainability of the model. The project will demonstrate the impact of an intervention with technologies that may become products and services, creating opportunities for innovation and technology transfer, which could have a positive impact on the European economy and competitiveness.
