Individual interviews with young vocational education graduates about working life experiencies

The material includes Finnish-language individual interviews with young people who had graduated from vocational upper secondary education half or one and half years ago.
The interviews were conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams in September 2020. During the interviews, young adults were asked about how their lives have proceeded after their graduation from vocational education. In addition, interview questions a related to their expectations regarding employment and their realisation, job-related hopes and concerns, vocational education and the skills gained from it, their thoughts on the support needed to participate in working life, and their thoughts about work, unemployment, well-being and the future.
The interviews were follow-up interviews to the group interviewsconducted in vocational upper secondary education by arranging workshops with ALL-YOUTH research project (see http://urn.fi/urn:nbn:en:att:2a0901af-2c01-4d40-b17d-03e63beac1e7). The interviews also asked young adults about their thoughts on the research findings concerning the workshop data.
Participants: 4 participants, 18-19 years old
The interviewees gave permission to store the material in the Social Science Data Archive (FSD). Because FSD only accepts data from more than 10 interviews, the data is not stored as open source. The datal is not open, as the interviewees gave permission only for the Social Science Data Archive.
The data was collected as part of ALL-YOUTH research project (project number/grant number 3121336548) funded by the Strategic Research Council.
