### How the material was produced The material is consisted of second round of interviews conducted with seven farmers from Southern Finland. Six of the farmers were interviewed before (first round of interviews, part 1). The interviews are part of a doctoral research on farmers' future thinking and agency in relation to climate-wise farming. All interviewees had participated in futures workshops organized by the project of Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) called "Climate-wise solutions for the countryside (VILMA)” in autumn 2017. They had also responded to a follow-up survey after the workshop concerning futures related thoughts that the workshops had spurred. The interviewees were selected based on their survey responses. The interviews dealt with farmers’ plans and futures thinking regarding their farms, challenges they had faced and their perception of how it is like to be a farmer. The interview questions evolved around these themes, but the sessions were otherwise relatively informal, spontaneous, and conversational. In all but one case the interviews were conducted in farmers’ homes and their family members were present in some cases. The interviews were recorded with the participants' permission, and their durations ranged from half an hour up to three hours. ### Ownership The second part of the data is owned by the researcher. The first part is owned by Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke). ### Reference Identifiers Each interview has been assigned with a reference identifier indicating which futures workshop farmers attended in autumn 2017 (M = workshop held in Mustiala / T = workshop held in Tuorla). The number represents the respondent's order in the follow-up survey data. The letter "i" indicates the interview round (i = first interview round, ii= second interview round), accompanied by the date of the interview.
