The survey was carried out to develop the website climateguide.fi, which provides information on climate change, and to assess the awareness and use of the website among municipal and wellbeing services county councilors. In addition, questions were asked about Finnish society and democracy in general. The respondents are municipal and wellbeing services county councilors. The data was collected as part of the Politician Panel, which is part of The Finnish Research Infrastructure for Public Opinion (FIRIPO). First, the respondents were asked whether they had used the Climateguide website and what topics related to climate change they were interested in. In addition, the respondents were asked in what form they felt they needed information on climate change and what kind of information on climate change was needed for municipal decision-making. This was followed by questions on how satisfied the respondent is with the functioning of democracy in Finland. Also, statements on general issues related to Finnish society and politics were presented. Finally, statements were made about the Climateguide website. Background variables include party membership, size of municipality of residence, age group, gender, mother tongue, level of education and electoral district.
