JYFL-ACCLAB-ISG005 Probing the correlation between bremsstrahlung and escaping electrons from ECRIS plasma

This experimental campaign probed the correlation between the energy distributions of axial and radial bremsstrahlung emitted from the ECR-heated plasma of the JYFL 14 GHz ECR ion source and the energy distribution of the electrons escaping the magnetic plasma confinement. This correlation was studied with varying plasma control parameters (plasma heating microwave power and frequency, confining magnetic field strength, neutral gas pressure and biased disc voltage) for oxygen plasma. The experimental work was performed between July and December 2019.
