The concept of authentic leadership has received significant attention in leadership research. However, it requires further investigation with greater rigour  to address criticisms concerning its origins and determine its appropriateness in comparison with  other leadership frameworks and concepts. Employing a bibliometric approach, we uncovered[? identified?] a core group of interdisciplinary scholars who are  crucial to this research. We explored their scientific output through a clustering technique for their central themes. We found five distinctive clusters aligning with one another and revealing interesting details about this multifaceted subject. we have produced an overview of authentic leadership studies and highlighted directions for further research.
