The Strategic Research Council's (SRC) Programme Director for the program Children and young people – healthy, thriving and capable makers of the future, YOUNG (2022–2028) promotes to implement research-based solutions that ensure equal opportunities for all children and young people for a good life and safe growth and development. The activities of the SRC program director contribute to the program's aims of creating a broad-based knowledge base through multidisciplinary and interactive research to support the development of children and young people into versatile and forward-looking actors as well as increasing their participation. The SRC programme director promotes cooperation both between SRC programmes and with decision-makers at the national level. The programme seeks research-based solutions with high societal impact to promote the comprehensive wellbeing of children and young people and to develop a high-quality and effective service system.
