Computational modeling of primate visual cortex

Bidragets beskrivning

This project aims to create computer models of how the primate brain processes visual information, focusing on the macaque monkey, a species closely related to humans. By simplifying complex brain models, we aim to more efficiently explore how the brain learns, interprets, and classifies what we see. Using a blend of biology and computer science, we're looking to understand better how the brain makes sense of visual inputs, like recognizing objects. Our work could provide insights into brain function and has potential applications in understanding brain diseases and advancing artificial intelligence. Our collaborative team is using advanced simulation tools and simulation results will be compared to data from extensive earlier research.
