Sustainable and Highly Durable Nanowire-Based Flexible Transparent Conductive Surfaces for Advanced Electronics
Bidragets beskrivning
DURATRANS addresses the pressing need for durable and highly stretchable transparent conductive surfaces in the field of flexible electronics. Current materials like Indium Tin oxide and conducting polymers encounter sustainability and conductivity challenges. While nanowires hold promise, they often exhibit limited lifespans and reduced transparency when used in fabricating conductive surfaces. Our objective is to develop highly conductive, transparent, and stretchable surfaces capable of over 300% stretching with more than 4x increase in shelf life. This involves designing durable nanowires, incorporating biotic designs, utilizing innovative microfabrication methods, and conducting comprehensive characterizations. Environmental impact will be evaluated through life cycle assessments. To demonstrate practical applications, these surfaces will be employed in transparent e-skins and optoelectrochemical probes.
