"Everyday-everyone" entrepreneurship: Fostering social inclusion

Bidragets beskrivning

The significance of this project is that it challenges the assumption that only high-growth high-tech firms can lead to job creation, wealth and well-being in society. It focuses on “everyday-everyone” entrepreneurship, which relates to integrating entrepreneurial action “in all we do”. While entrepreneurship should not be a prerogative of some privileged groups, certain categories of people have more difficulties in the path to setting up their businesses. This project focuses on uncovering these categories of “missing” entrepreneurs and foster inclusive entrepreneurship and social inclusion. The research questions are: 1) How does EEE unfold in practice? How does EEE influence social inclusion? The empirics of the project build on qualitative ethnographic methodology and use the techniques of observations, diaries, and ethnographic interviews. To grasp the contextuality of “everyday-everyone” entrepreneurship, the data are to be collected in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.
