In project ALCOSTO, we will develop novel adaptive and learning real-time traffic control strategies to improve overall road traffic conditions, reducing the congestion level and improving safety, while considering the impact of new mobility features and the uncertainty of future mixed traffic, due to vehicle connectivity and automation and their interaction with smart infrastructure.
