Here we evaluate the molecular contents of neuronal derived extracellular vesicles together with individual genetic variations known to be associated with outcome after stroke. This will enable identification of combinations of features able to serve as predictors (biomarkers) for the outcome after stroke. This will allow the early detection and treatment of patients at risk for long-term disabilities after stroke thereby preventing further damage.
